由来

2019年10月18日，占地近140,000平方米的星耀樟宜由新加坡时任总理李显龙正式开幕。
星耀樟宜由樟宜机场集团（Changi Airport Group）和凯德商用产业（CapitaMalls Asia）联合发展，耗资约新币十四亿七千万元建造。
星耀樟宜的建设计划于2013年由这两家公司提出。该计划称为“宝石计划”，即英语“Project Jewel”的意译。“Jewel”的华文名称于2017年正式定下，含有“星耀樟宜，点亮新城”的寓意。在2013至2017年间，星耀樟宜也被称为“樟宜宝石”。
建设星耀樟宜是为了加强机场第一、第二及第三搭客大厦的衔接性，巩固樟宜机场作为区域航空中枢的地位，以及打造一个国人和旅客的共同休闲去处。
除了280多家餐馆和品牌商店，星耀樟宜也有森林谷（Forest Valley）、雨漩涡（Rain Vortex）、星空花园（Canopy Park）等景观。

ETYMOLOGY

Jewel Changi Airport, with an area of nearly 140,000 square metres, was officially opened on 18 October 2019 by then Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
It was jointly developed by the Changi Airport Group and CapitaMalls Asia, and cost approximately S$1.47 billion to build.
The two companies had proposed the construction project, then known as “Project Jewel” (“宝石计划” in Mandarin), in 2013. From 2013 to 2017, Jewel Changi Airport was referred to as “樟宜宝石”. In 2017, the present Mandarin name, “星耀” (meaning “lighting up the city of Singapore”) was officially decided on.
Jewel serves to facilitate passenger connections between Terminals 1, 2 and 3, consolidate Changi Airport’s position as a regional aviation hub, and create a shared leisure destination for Singaporeans and foreign visitors alike.
In addition to more than 280 restaurants and branded stores, Jewel also has landscape attractions such as Forest Valley, Rain Vortex and Canopy Park.
