释义

名词

一种用来搬运、装卸货物的机械。

DEFINITION

Noun

A piece of machinery used to move, load, and unload goods.

由来
  • 叉车(叉式起重机)的异形词。
  • “叉” 和 “插” 都对应英文 “forklift” 的 “fork”。这种车的前面装有可升降的钢叉,以装载货物,因此名为叉车。
  • 由于钢叉在装载货物前会插在货物底下,因此也称插车。
ETYMOLOGY
  • A variant term for “叉车” (forklift truck).
  • Both “” and “” correspond to “fork” in the English word “forklift”. This type of vehicle is equipped with steel forks at the front that can be raised and lowered to load goods. Hence, the vehicle is known as “叉车” (forklift).
  • It is also called “插车” because the forks are inserted under the goods before they are loaded.

例句
征聘广告中清楚注明应征者必须持有插车证书。(《联合早报》,24/5/2001)
SAMPLE SENTENCE
