ETYMOLOGY
  • Curry puffs are believed to have originated from three possible sources: the British Cornish pasty of the 1800s, the Portuguese empanada, and the Indian samosa.
  • The pastry shell of a curry puff is made primarily with flour and butter. The filling varies, but key ingredients include curry, potatoes, diced meat and boiled egg.
