An incentive scheme launched by the Singapore Government to encourage Singaporeans to have more children by lightening the financial burden of raising children.

  • 2001年，为了提高新加坡的生育率，政府推出婴儿花红计划，作为结婚生育配套 (Marriage and Parenthood Package) 的一部分。
  • 这项计划分为两个部分——现金津贴与儿童培育户头 (Child Development Account)。儿童培育户头为特别的储蓄户头。家长只要在孩子到达指定年龄之前存款储蓄，就可获得政府一元对一元储蓄填补。
  • 此计划自推出以来，奖励数额已多次提高。目前，每名孩子能获得的最高数额为新币24,000元 (第一个孩子) 至新币37,000元 (第五个与以上孩子)。
ETYMOLOGY
  • The Baby Bonus Scheme was launched in 2001, as part of the Government’s Marriage and Parenthood Package, to improve Singapore’s birth rate.
  • The scheme consists of two parts: a one-off cash gift, and a special savings account called the Child Development Account (CDA) where deposits made by parents are matched dollar-for-dollar by the Government.
  • Since the scheme’s inception, the incentives have been increased several times. As of 2024, the maximum benefits for each child range from S$24,000 (first child) to S$37,000 (fifth child and beyond).
