由来
  • 2006 年，新加坡公用事业局（Public Utility Board）实行自愿性省水标签计划（Voluntary Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme）。继自愿性计划的实施，当局于 2009 年推出了强制性省水标签计划（Mandatory Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme）。
  • 在省水标签计划下，用水产品都会贴上一张省水标签。标签主要通过勾号标示省水级别。在强制性省水标签计划下，最省水的产品标有四个勾号，而自愿性省水标签计划下的最高勾号则为三。
  • 目前只有花洒头归纳在自愿性省水标签计划下，而其他用水产品则归入强制性省水标签计划。
  • 自 2017 年起，市面上的用水产品至少得有一个勾号。
  • 自2019年4月份起，厂家只能售卖至少两个勾号的用水产品。

ETYMOLOGY
  • In 2006, the Public Utility Board implemented the Voluntary Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme. Following this, it launched the Mandatory Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme in 2009.
  • Under the Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme, all products that use water will be affixed with a water efficiency label that indicates water efficiency levels with ticks. In the Mandatory Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme, products with the highest water efficiency rating are marked with four ticks, while the highest water efficiency rating is marked with three ticks for the Voluntary Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme.
  • Currently, only shower heads are classified under the Voluntary Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme, while all other products that use water are classified under the Mandatory Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme.
  • Since 2017, products that use water must have at least in order to be sold on the market.
  • From April 2019, only products with at least two ticks can be sold.
  • From October 2015, washing machines sold in the local market must have at least two ticks. In early 2017, washing machines with four ticks, which used no more than six litres of water per kilogramme of laundry, debuted in Singapore. This allowed consumers to easily distinguish them from washing machines with three ticks and encouraged consumers to purchase washing machines that are more water efficient.
