According to oral history records, Ts’ao Ah Chih was the founder of the Cho Kah Koon and the Ning Yeung Wui Kuan. The former site of the Cho Kah Koon is located at the junction of Lavender Road and Kallang Road, on the north bank of Rochor River. The site was acquired by the Government in the 1970s and the association moved out in 1974.
