ETYMOLOGY
  • Little Guilin is a 42-hectare town park converted from a disused granite quarry.
  • In the 1980s, the government decided to preserve the mining lake left behind by the local quarry and turn it into a leisure spot for the residents nearby.
  • The park is known as “Little Guilin” because of its slight resemblance to Guilin in Guangxi, China.
