  • 文头雪是新加坡的一道广东特色甜品,主要使用类似果冻块的文头冻并添加一层削冰并淋上糖浆或酸柑汁制成。文头雪是一道本地的广东特色甜品之一,主要使用类似果冻块的文头冻,添加一层削冰并淋上糖浆或酸柑汁制成。
  • 文头冻是由提炼薛荔子的种子(也称“文头米”或“文头籽”) 的果浆,经过加工凝固后而成。
  • 有说法认为,新加坡首次出现文头雪是在1936年,那是由一名牛车水摊贩傅松售卖的。傅松是越南华侨,在退休后回到越南。之后,他的广东籍妻舅邹文泰则留下继续售卖文头雪,并将摊位取名为“雪花飞”。
  • 如今的文头雪有各式各样的口味,除了杂果也可搭配其它材料。
  • 新加坡的广东人也称文头雪为“文头窿”,而潮州人则称为“ 文头粿”
ETYMOLOGY
  • Ice jelly is a unique local Cantonese dessert. The main ingredient are pieces of “文头冻” that are similar to fruit jelly, topped with shaved ice, and sugar syrup or lime juice。
  • “文头冻” (also known as “文头米” or “文头籽”) is made by processing and solidifying the pulp of the seeds of the creeping fig plant.
  • It is believed that ice jelly first appeared in Singapore in 1936, sold in Chinatown by a Vietnamese Chinese stallholder by the name of Fu Song. After he retired and returned to Vietnam, his Cantonese brother-in-law, Zhou Wentai, continued to sell ice jelly and named the stall “雪花飞”.
  • Today, ice jelly comes in a variety of flavours. Apart from assorted fruits, other ingredients can also be added.
  • The Cantonese in Singapore also refer to ice jelly as “文头窿”, while the Teochews refer to it as “文头粿”.
