  • 1941年，新加坡第一家考车中心（Driving Test Centre）设于麦士威路（Maxwell Road）28号，提供人们考取驾照的驾驶考试。1969年，第二家考车中心女皇镇考车中心（Queenstown Driving Test Centre）成立。
  • 为了确保学车人士能更安全和更有系统地接受培训，本地于1985年在新加坡安全驾驶中心（Singapore Safety Driving Centre）与甘榜乌美驾驶考试中心（Kampong Ubi Test Centre）建设了驾驶培训道（driving circuit）。
  • 目前，新加坡有三家驾驶中心：于1983年设立的新加坡安全驾驶中心，该中心于1985年为摩托车骑士和学车人士推出了驾驶培训课程；于1990年设立的武吉巴督驾驶中心（Bukit Batok Driving Centre）；于1996年设立的康福德高驾驶中心（ComfortDelgro Driving Centre）。
ETYMOLOGY
  • In 1941, Singapore’s first Driving Test Centre was established at 28 Maxwell Road. This was followed in 1969 by the Queenstown Driving Test Centre.
  • In 1985, to ensure that learner drivers received training in a safe and systematic environment, driving circuits were built at the Singapore Safety Driving Centre (SSDC) and the Kampong Ubi Test Centre (KUTC).
  • Currently, there are three driving centres in Singapore, namely the SSDC, established in 1983, which rolled out training courses for motorcyclists and drivers in 1985; the Bukit Batok Driving Centre, established in 1990; and the ComfortDelgro Driving Centre, established in 1996.
