  • 在新加坡，“义标” 是进行筹款的主要方式。
  • “义” 指以公益为目的，而 “标” 指拍卖时标上价格的程序。
  • 以中元会的慈善晚会为例，义标的物品（也称福物）包括神像、电器、“黑金”（碳）等，而得标者会在晚会结束后领取标到的福物，并在当场或隔年将喊出的数目捐出，做为筹办隔年晚会的款项。
ETYMOLOGY
  • In Singapore, charity auctions are the main method of fundraising.
  • The Chinese character “义” (charity) refers to having a public cause as the purpose, while “标” (auction) refers to the process of setting a price during auctions.
  • In the case of the charity dinners held by XX, the items put up for auction (also known as “福物”, meaning “fortune items”) include religious statues, electrical appliances, “黑金” (charcoal) and so on. Successful bidders will collect the fortune items at the end of the dinner, and donate the bid amounts on the spot or in the subsequent year, to raise funds for next year’s dinner.
