  • 英语“cash deposit machine”的意译。
  • 1996年，新加坡邮政储蓄银行（Post Office Savings Bank，简称POSB Bank）推出了东南亚第一台自动存款机。
  • 自动存款机具有点算钞票的功能，减少了以往客户在银行排队存入现钞所需花费的时间。
  • 当时第一台自动存款机设立在储蓄银行位于勿拉士峇沙（Bras Basah）路的总行。
ETYMOLOGY
  • The Mandarin term “自动存款机” is a paraphrase of the English term “cash deposit machine”.
  • In 1996, the Post Office Savings Bank (POSB Bank) of Singapore rolled out the first cash deposit machine in Southeast Asia.
  • A cash deposit machine is programmed with the ability to count banknotes, thus reducing the time required by customers to deposit cash as in the past they had to queue up at banks to do so.
  • The first cash deposit machine was set up at POSB’s head office located at Bras Basah Road.
