碧山位于新加坡中部，北起宏茂桥（Ang Mo Kio）、南达大巴窑（Toa Payoh），东临实龙岗（Serangoon），西至中央集水区自然保护区（Central Water Catchment）。

A neighbourhood in central Singapore, bounded by Ang Mo Kio to the north, Toa Payoh to the south, Serangoon to the east and the Central Water Catchment to the west.

由来

昔日的碧山为坟山（广惠肇碧山亭，Kwong Wai Siew Peck San Theng，简称“碧山亭”）与甘榜（甘榜山亭，Kampong San Teng）。“碧山”这个名字取于碧山亭。
1870年，由梅南瑞带领的广惠肇三属人士在汤申路（Thomson Road）创立碧山亭。这里主要埋葬广东人与客家人。
1979年，建屋发展局（Housing & Development Board，简称“建屋局”）开始建设碧山新镇。同年，碧山亭被政府征用，计划日后重新发展。1980年代，建屋局将甘榜山亭与碧山亭发展成碧山新镇。碧山亭坟墓被迁移，甘榜居民也被安置于其他地区。
如今，位于碧山巷（Bishan Lane）的碧山亭已成为一座骨灰安置所。

ETYMOLOGY

Bishan was previously home to the Kwong Wai Siew Peck San Theng cemetery (commonly known as the Peck San Theng cemetery) and Kampong San Teng. The Mandarin name “碧山” comes from the Peck San Theng cemetery.
In 1870, the Peck San Theng cemetery was established at Thomson Road by immigrants from Guangzhou, Huizhou and Zhaoqing in China’s Guangdong province, with Boey Nam Sooi at the helm. The cemetery mainly served the Cantonese and Hakka communities.
In 1979, the Housing & Development Board (HDB) began development of Bishan new town. In the same year, the Peck San Theng cemetery was acquired by the Government for future redevelopment.
In the 1980s, the HDB began the development of Kampong San Teng and Peck San Theng cemetery into Bishan new town. As a result, Peck San Theng was moved, while the residents of Kampong San Teng were resettled.
Today, Peck San Theng exists as a columbarium complex located at Bishan Lane.
