The younger generation needs to understand the importance of one’s culture and the proficiency of the language, to be a better society.Tamil literature has many scholarly works that is rich in moral values that is relevant all time. Sangam literature ‘Pathupattu’ and ‘Ettuthogai’ talks about the philanthropy of the ancient Tamil kings Began, Pari, Kari, Aai, Athiyaman, Nalli and Oori.
In this programme, we will compose new songs on the philanthropy of each king and have dance element for some songs. The songs will be in a simple language that will be appealing to the younger generation. Hence, we see this as an innovation to take the values of the ancient literature through songs, dance in simple language to the posterity to make them appreciate the Tamil language and follow the values told in the literatures in their day to day life.
