MAGO is an annual Story telling competition aimed at promoting Story-telling in a fun, engaging and creative fashion. Story telling is a time-honoured, age-old practice and in current times it’s one of the best ways to promote the art appreciation and love for the Tamil language. AKT launched MAGO, Tamil Storytelling Olympiad in 2012 and since the event has grown by leaps and bounds to host over 50 schools with more than 100 participants annually. As we well know, our Children are natural storytellers and their desire to participate in the Olympiad will fuel them to learn more about our society, culture and historical characters. By allowing our children to share stories about and beyond, especially those tales accompanied with meaningful messages, we will inculcate qualities such as wisdom, courage and integrity in our participants and audiences. This year, MAGO Storytelling festival will be presented in a hybrid mode – a combination of online auditions, guidance workshop and live performances.
