Kavimanam is a platform for all poets to compete in this competition for honours during the Tamil Language Festival. 

In poetry, the weaving of words, application of metaphors and the rhythmic arrangement of text, evoke rich imagery and feelings. Language is an art form that not only delights the poets and the listeners, but also enriches the larger literary environment. 

The Singapore Indian Association invites all who are interested in Tamil poetry to submit their poems on a given subject, to express their artistic language and present their thoughts.
