This is the 6^th anniversary of “Umar Pulavar Arangam” which SKML initiated as part of the Festival. This programme allows us to reinforce the significant contribution of the Tamil-speaking Indian Muslim community.

As in previous years, SKML, with the help of renowned speakers discuss various ways to promote Tamil among the younger generation and reinforce crucial role of parents to ensure Tamil remains as a living language in Singapore.

The programme will also identify 3 or 4 individuals who have contributed towards promoting Tamil language. This allows us to continue recognizing unsung heroes in the past and give recognition to these individuals.
