Thamizhavel Memorial Seminar is conducted primarily for Tamil teachers by Singapore Tamil Teachers’ Union. The recent trends in Teaching and Learning of Tamil Language, perceptions and attitudes towards Tamil by students, the forward approach in making Tamil Language as a Living Language are some of the themes discussed in this seminar.

For 2017, a similar model of speech is planned for and an authority in Teaching and Learning of Tamil Language will address the Tamil teachers and share his perspectives on how Tamil teachers should adapt to the changes in Tamil teaching and the strategies to be infused in ensuring a joy for learning and vibrant classroom prevails.
