The Tamilar Thirunal Festival has a long history as a celebration of Tamil Language, culture and traditions in Singapore. The festival is a brain child of Mr.Ko.Sarangapany, a celebrated Tamil community leader who had championed for the Tamils during Singapore’s pre and post-independence periods.

In a traditional Tamil celebratory setting, the organisers will work with performers and participants to present a programme rich with Tamil Language, culture and heritage. Performers of all ages from Singapore will be performing, and to further celebrate the diversity of races in Singapore, Chinese and Malay performers will also be performing their art forms during this festival.

To further engage the audience, a presentation on Tamil Literature will be delivered by Mr.Pandithurai, a well-known orator and Tamil language exponent from Malaysia.
