The objectives of the Programme are to highlight the importance of speaking and writing Tamil Language with special reference to the contributions made by students for Tamil Language and Literature.

A Literary Talk will be delivered by Professor, Dr P M MANSURE, a Scholar in Tamil Language and Literature who was the Head of Tamil Language Department in Jamal Mohamed College, Trichy, India.

During the Programme, a group of ladies will present a short dialogue entitled “Why Language? Why Tamil?”.

In the effort to encourage and acknowledge the champions of Tamil Language in Singapore, a local Tamil Scholar will be honoured with the prestigious “Jamalian Award”.
