The objectives of Kural Porul Thèdal are to inculcate the values and learning points that Thirukkural can give and to promote effective communication in Tamil through film-making in a learning environment.

In this programme, students will use Thirukkural as the base for a storyline and use skills in short film-making to produce a short film. While the short film is the end product, the organisers are hoping that the students will learn to understand and appreciate the processes involved in making a short film.

Soft skills such as working in teams, confident communication and effective decision-making processes will be taught during the programme.

This event is organised for Secondary School students and preparatory workshops have begun. Some films will also be on showcase during the Tamil Language Festival period.
