Inspired by the lyrical lines from selected popular movie songs, the poetry writer will create a short, emotionally intense poem with a musical quality and in a first-person point of view.

Competition organizers will publish a set of selected lines for writers to pick - to write their lyrical poetry which will not exceed 20 lines.  Closing date: for submissions is April 1, 2016. This is a poetry competition and is open to  Singaporeans & PRs in adult and student categories.

Short-listed poems will be presented with appropriate musical accompaniment to an audience and before a panel of judges at the finals on April 22.  Prize money will be awarded to winners.
