Highly inspired and recreated thereafter from the works of one of our locally renowned literary writer, Avant Theatre embarks on performing a "Kathakalaashebam", a stand-up comedy presentation comprising of storytelling together with popular song renditions.

Avant Theatre emerged in Singapore in 2011 to reinvigorate and rethink the performance barriers between audiences and actors in order to forge closer ties between the performer and the observer.

Avant prides itself in being able to provide each thespian with opportunities to continually develop their artistic skills in an open, holistic, challenging and supportive multi-disciplinary learning environment. Through this, we groom artistes to play an active and responsible role as global artistic citizens in a multicultural world and the artistic industry. In doing so, we share and support the Arts and Cultural Ministries in their vision in moulding Singapore as a global arts hub in Asia.
