ETYMOLOGY

In Singapore, “马厩” is used in written language and the stable is often colloquially referred to as “马房”. A stable is a place where horses are reared. It is also a rest area for the horses.
In Singapore, a stable is generally named after the horse trainer and is therefore considered to be the trainer's office.
