A foot-massaging walkway covered with protruding cobblestones. Also known in Mandarin as “脚底按摩健身小径”, “脚底反射区按摩径道” or “脚底按摩走道”.

由来
  • 脚底按摩径由邹进福博士发明,于20世纪末开始在台湾盛行,后传遍国际。
  • 据说在脚底按摩径上行走可以按摩脚底,达到促进血液循环、医治疾病的效果。然而,目前这些效果在中西医领域中一般无理论或科学基础。
  • 在武吉巴督(Bukit Batok)部分组屋区于1996至1999年间进行的翻新计划中,脚底按摩径首次被列入新设施的名单中。
  • 如今,脚底按摩径已普遍设在大部分组屋区的公共设施中。
ETYMOLOGY
  • Reflexology walks were invented by Dr Tsou Chin-fu. They became popular in Taiwan in the late 20th century and spread around the world thereafter.
  • Walking on a reflexology walk is believed to promote blood circulation and cure diseases. However, at present, these benefits have no theoretical or scientific basis in either Chinese or Western medicine.
  • Reflexology walks were first included in Housing & Development Board (HDB) estates in an upgrading programme at Bukit Batok in 1996–99.
  • Today, reflexology walks can be found in most HDB estates.
