  • “暴露”一词原指把隐蔽的、有缺陷的、有矛盾或问题的事物显露出来，词义较广泛。
  • 在新加坡，“暴露”多延伸用于指裸露身体某个部位，比如穿较短或薄的衣服。
ETYMOLOGY
  • The Mandarin term “暴露” originally referred broadly to exposing something that is hidden, defective, contradictory or problematic.
  • In Singapore, the term has been extended to mean revealing parts of the body, such as by wearing short or sheer clothing.
例句
不时都会读到卫道者批评女性衣着暴露的食古不化新闻，最近一则是7月20日的《“穿着不暴露可防被性侵”菲警告诫妇女言论引公愤》，在这个强调男女平等的时代，“引公愤”是必然的反应。(《联合早报》，5/8/2018)
SAMPLE SENTENCE
Instances of overly conservative people criticising women for wearing revealing clothes show up in the news from time to time. In Singapore, nudity in public spaces or private places visible to outsiders is against the law. Those found in violation can be sentenced to a fine of S$2,000 or imprisonment for up to three months, or both.
