  • “气闻”一般的用法是:
  1. 某个地点再后缀 “气闻”,如 “后港气闻”、“淡滨尼圆巴刹气闻”、“星耀樟宜停车场气闻” 等。
  2. “这起气闻”之后提及事件发生时间或地点,如“这起气闻于昨日凌晨12时30分发生”、“这起气闻发生在兀兰6道第761座组屋等”。
  3. 在“气闻”这个词的前面放简要的内容,如 “装饰品被偷的气闻”、“少年夜闯钓鱼场大捞鱼虾的气闻” 等。
ETYMOLOGY
  • “气闻” is generally used in the following ways:

  1. Adding the term “气闻” after a location, to refer to news which comes from that location. For example, “后港气闻” (“Hougang”+“气闻”), “淡滨尼圆巴刹气闻” (“Tampines Round Market”+“气闻”), “星耀樟宜停车场气闻” (“the carpark at Jewel Changi”+ “气闻”).
  2. Mentioning the location and time after the term “这起气闻”. For example, “这起气闻于昨日凌晨12时30分发生” (“This angering/amusing news happened yesterday at 12:30am”), or “这起气闻发生在兀兰6道第761座组屋” (“This news happened at Block 761 Woodlands Avenue 6”).
  3. Adding a short explanation of what happened before the term “气闻”. For example, “装饰品被偷的气闻” (“the news about stolen decorations”) or “少年夜闯钓鱼场大捞鱼虾的气闻” (“the news about the youth who broke into a fish farm to steal fish and
    prawns”).

In recent months, there has been a lot of news that angered people regarding letters and parcels being thrown into trash bins. The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) published a statement on 7 February, revealing that SingPost had fared worse than it did in the past, as its services had failed to meet standards on nine occasions.
