  • The Chinese character “坛” in the Mandarin term “马坛” can refer to communities and activities in the sports, literary or arts domains. Examples include “文坛” (literary community), “艺坛” (arts community), and “球坛” (ball sports community).
  • As horse racing is also a sports activity, the horse racing community is known as “马坛”.
