  • 英语 “General Ticketing Machine” 的意译。  
  • 2002年一月，普通自动售票机在新加坡全国地铁站与轻轨列车站推出。
  • 刚推出时，全国共有118台普通自动售票机，每个地铁站设有至少两台。
  • 乘客可通过现金或电子付款的方式为车资卡充值。  
  • 从2017年起，由国内外银行发行的信用卡与转账卡皆可使用普通自动售票机的服务。
  • 从2018年起，新加坡全岛的地铁站客服柜台已不再接受现金充值，乘客只可在普通自动售票机使用现金购买车票或充值。
ETYMOLOGY
  • The Mandarin term “普通自动售票机” is a paraphrase of the English term “General Ticketing Machine”.
  • General Ticketing Machines (GTMs) were rolled out at all Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) and Light Rail Transit (LRT) stations across Singapore in January 2002.
  • In the first roll-out, there were a total of 118 GTMs throughout Singapore, with at least two machines at each MRT station.
  • Passengers could top up their fare cards by cash or electronic payment.
  • Since 2017, all credit cards and debit cards issued by domestic and foreign banks are accepted by GTMs.
  • The passenger service centres at MRT stations across Singapore have ceased providing cash top-up services since 2018. Passengers can only purchase tickets for travel or top up their fare cards using cash at GTMs.
