释义

名词

外国人入境新加坡时需填报的纸质白色卡片表格。

DEFINITION

Noun

A form on a white card for foreigners to complete when entering Singapore.

由来
  • 新加坡纸质“入境卡” (disembarkation/embarkation [DE] card)的俗称。
ETYMOLOGY
  • The Mandarin term “白卡” is the colloquial name for the disembarkation/embarkation (DE) card used in Singapore.
  • Before 2018, all travellers entering Singapore are required to complete a paper DE card where they will have to provide their personal data and travel information.
  • A “complete” DE card consists of two sections where the left and middle portions are retained and filed by the customs officers when the traveller enters the country, and the right portion handed over to the customs when the traveller leaves the country.
  • On 4 October 2018, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) launched an electronic entry card on trial, in anticipation that it will replace the paper DE card.
  • On 27 March 2020, the electronic entry card was formally used, and all travellers visiting Singapore are required to fill in their personal data, travel details and personal health status in the card online three days before entry.
  • According to the authorities, ICA can save about 48 million DE cards every year if electronic entry cards are used.
