Sister Madonna Buder is 80 years old, has run more than 340 triathlons and doesn’t know what all the fuss is about. In The Grace to Race, she shares the no-nonsense spirit and deep faith that inspired her extraordinary journey from a prominent St Louis family to a Catholic convent and finally to championship finish lines all over the world.

Review

Readers will be inspired by the mental and physical endurance that Sister Madonna Buder possesses. Known as the Iron Nun, she has often outperformed men and women much younger than her. In 2008, she ran the Boston marathon at the amazing age of 78 years old and in 2010, she participated in the Arizona Ironman.

Her story is one of inspiration to runners and athletes and all around the world; if she can run and participate in triathlons at age 80, so can anyone else.
