According to a well-known language expert, Charles Berlitz (who speaks more than 40 languages), English is by far the most difficult language to speak and write correctly apart from some other challenging languages such as the Chinese language.

In a lighter vein, the authors consider grammar as the toll that joins pieces of paper torn from an English dictionary that had been tossed randomly into the air. As they land, grammar gives sense to the words on the pieces of paper.

Some warnings are highlighted in this book – such as the four words that should never appear in your vocabulary. They are ‘actually’, ‘alright’, ‘regardless’ and ’very’. Interesting, isn’t it? As to why, well, take the time to find out from pages 123-124.
