How to Spell “Conceive”
Did you know that many misspell ‘conceive’ by spelling it as ‘concieve’?
In the correct spelling, the ‘e’ comes before the ‘i’.
The rule is, ‘i’ before ‘e’ unless there’s a ‘c’.
Since there’s a ‘c’ before ‘i’ and ‘e’, ‘e’ goes before ‘i’.
See if you can spot the mistake below:
David: I know you are all curious to know where our eldest son was conceived.
Victoria: He was concieved in Brooklyn, while we were on holiday.
