In recent months, there has been a lot of news that angered people regarding letters and parcels being thrown into trash bins. The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) published a statement on 7 February, revealing that SingPost had fared worse than it did in the past, as its services had failed to meet standards on nine occasions. Hence, SingPost was given a heavy fine of S$100,000. SingPost has promised to improve its service quality within the next three to six months. (Lianhe Zaobao, 23/2/2019)
