由来
  • 虽然金饰一般使用黄金打造,但为了调整色泽,铸造金饰的师傅有时会加入银或铜。
  • 纯金首饰主要可分为999和916两种等级,分别指99.9%和91.6%的黄金纯度。
  • 手工打造的金饰一般需要经过几道工序才能完工,铸造金饰的师傅需要在模具上敲打黄金,进行电镀、雕刻、打磨等。

ETYMOLOGY
  • When gold is used in jewellery, it may sometimes be alloyed with other metals, such as silver or copper, to alter its colour and other properties.
  • Gold jewellery is mainly categorised into “999” or “916” ratings, signifying 99.9% and 91.6% gold purity, respectively.
  • Handcrafted gold jewellery involves many painstaking processes. The master craftsman has to hammer gold on a mould, followed by a variety of processes such as electroplating, carving and polishing.
